The printed proceedings of the EPMESC X includes 14 full papers of plenary and semi-plenary lectures, and approximately 166 one-page summaries, and the CD-ROM includes all 180 full papers presented at the conference. The CD-ROM needs to be run by Internet Explorer and Acrobat Reader. The series of EPMESC international conferences devoted to computational methods in engineering and science was created by a group of prominent scholars in the field: Prof. Arantes e Oliveira, Prof. Y. K. Cheung, Prof. T. Kawai and the late Prof. Luo Songfa. The first was held in Macao in 1985 and thereafter it was held alternately in Macao and a city in China. The conference title has evolved to "Enhancement and Promotion of Computational Methods in Engineering and Sciences". The conference has also grown from one attracting researchers from China and Europe, to attracting them from almost all continents. The tenth EPMESC international conference was held in August 21-23, 2006 in Sanya, Hainan Island of China. TOC:The book has 14 full papers and 166 abstracts, and the CD-Rom has 180 full papers. Authors include Serge Cescotto (Belgium), Genki Yagawa (Japan), Zhenhan Yao (China), Roman Lackner (Austria), Fred W. Williams (UK), Ioannis Doltsinis (Germany), Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Nasser Khalili (Australia), Nori Miyazaki (Japan), Yutaka Toi (Japan), Yao Zheng (China), Yeong-Bin Yang (Taiwan, China), Yuen Ka Veng (Macau, China), Gui Rong Liu (Singapore), Chung-Bang Yun (Korea), and W.
